First opened in 1919, the Pisgah Inn on Mount Pisgah
is a great place to stay if you are ever in the Brevard (or Waynesville),
North Carolina area. Accommodations range from rooms with a single
king or queen bed, or double twin beds. You get a private porch for
viewing the amazing Blue Ridge Mountains, floral, fauna, and the fog as it
rolls in almost daily. Sit in the rocking chair and enjoy the Pisgah
National Forest and Looking Glass Rock.
The regular amenities common to hotel rooms is included (coffee pot,
fridge, tv, etc.) You can also choose from the special "Pisgah" room,
a much larger deluxe room with fireplace, living room, etc. There is
only one Pisgah suite available, however. Of course, you can choose
from one of the 50 regular rooms.
Pisgah Inn is ADA compliant and offers handicap-accessible rooms.
And, there are several rooms available for those with pets. Rooms are
non-smoking, but you can smoke outside.
One of the more interesting things about the Pisgah Inn is not the
amazing views of the Blue Ridge. Nor the fresh air. Nor the
awesome clouds that roll through almost daily. The best part is you
may spot a native black bear in the area. It has happened on more than
one occasion at the Pisgah Inn that a bear has walked right up to the
back porch area, and even into the kitchen of the restaurant!
Fine dining and meeting rooms/accommodations are available at the
Pisgah Inn. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner
daily. So, whether you are looking for a mountain-top retreat to cool
off during the summer heat, view the Appalachian Mountain leaves in October,
banquet, reunion, or other meeting, Pisgah Inn is an excellent
A crafts and gift shop is located on the property of Pisgah Inn.
Browse locally-made crafts and find gifts of clothing and food. Also
available is a coffee shop, public telephones, service station, and camp
store. Access to the Buck Spring Trail is just out the front door.
Usually open from the first of April until the end of October, Pisgah
Inn is one of the few locations along the Blue Ridge Parkway where you
can stay. Rates are around $130 - $150 per night for two people for
the regular rooms. For reservations, visit their website or call them.
